DVAC provides title insurance as an agent of New Jersey Title Insurance Company.   Title insurance insures that you are the only owner of a certain parcel of land, and further insures that there are only specified liens and encumbrances on that land.   Unlike other insurance which insures against what may happen in the future, title insurance insures against what may have happened in the past.  Generally, if you are obtaining mortgage financing for a parcel of land, title insurance will be required.
